The 1st of March saw high pressure moving into the area, giving 2.6 hours of sunshine after some early light drizzle and shower activity, producing 0.06" of rainfall. The high was 66F/19C with a low of 60F/16C. The 2nd saw the high progressing east of the area as a weak frontal boundary approached from the northwest overnight. There were 6.6 hours of sunshine with 0.08" of rainfall. The high was 70F/21C with a low of 60F/15C. The front passed early on the 3rd with 0.03" of rain and a pre-frontal high of 67F/20C. Moderate winds veering north then northeast brought fair weather from mid-morning with 6.6 sun hours and an overnight low of 57F/14C. A ridge of high pressure on the 4th provided warming southerly winds with a high of 69F/21C, a low of 61F/16C, 8.7 sun hours and no rain. High pressure remained on the 5th, with 9.3 hours of sunshine. The high was 73F/23C with a low of 63F/17C. The high continued its dominance on the 6th, with 9.2 hours of sunshine. The high was a very mild 75F/24C with a low of 68F/20C. A weak cold front then slowly passed overhead on the 7th, with extensive cloud cover and morning rain and showers bringing 0.66" of precipitation. The high for the day was 69F/21C with a low of 62F/17C and only 0.1 hours of sunshine. Sunday the 8th saw a return to fair and sunny conditions as high pressure set in. The high was 67F/20C with a low of 62F/17C and 10.2 hours of almost unbroken sunshine. Monday the 9th and Tuesday the 10th saw high pressure that move across the area and brought mainly fine conditions with 10.1 hours of sunshine both days with no rainfall. Seasonal temperatures with a high on Monday of 68F/20C with a low of 60F/16C and a high of 69F/20C with a low of 58F/15C on Tuesday. The 11th was fair and dry with moderate southerly and veering winds, as high pressure progressed further to our east. The high reached 75F/24C with a low of 66F/19C and 6.1 hours of sun. A weak front approached on the 12th, with strong west winds which shifted northwest then north behind an early-afternoon frontal passage. Showers amounted to 0.07" with a high of 74F/23C, a low of 62F/17C and 5.1 hours of sunshine. The 13th saw much cooler temperatures behind the cold front with moderate northeasterly flow all day, a couple brief showers produced a trace of precipitation. The high was 63F/17C with a low of 58F/14C and 1.7 hours of sunshine. The 14th saw continued cool conditions as high pressure moved north of Bermuda, with 5.1 hours of sunshine. The high was 64F/18C with a low of 58F/14C. Most of Sunday the 15th was fair as winds increased ahead of a cold front. The late night front brought a few showers with 0.13" of accumulation and a maximum mean wind of 31 knots with a gust of 40 knots. The high for the day was 72F/22C and the low was 63F/17C with hours of 5.3 sunshine. Strong to occasionally gale force winds remained in the area behind a cold front for the morning of Monday the 16th. The maximum mean wind was 33 knots with a gust of 46 knots. Winds did decrease later in the evening and the high for the day was 67F/19C with a low of 62F/17C and 8.8 hours of sunshine. Tuesday the 17th saw high pressure briefly build in across the area producing 9.2 hours of sunshine with no rainfall and strong winds with a peak wind of 37 knots. The high was 70F/21C with a low of 62F/17C. Wednesday the 18th saw a weak cold front that slowly moved across the area producing mainly cloudy skies with 3.9 hours of sunshine with 0.06" of rainfall and strong winds with a peak wind of 34 knots. The high was 70F/21C with a low of 59F/15C. The 19th was cool and dry with northwesterly winds as high pressure built into the area. The high was 64F/18C with a low of 58F/15C and 4.7 hours of sun. High pressure moved past to our north on the 20th with dry air, a high of 65F/19C, a low of 59F/15C and 9.6 sunshine hours. A cold front moved across the area on the 21st, producing rain and showers with 0.17" of rainfall and 0.7 hours of sunshine. The high was 71F/21C with a low of 68F/17C. High pressure began to move across the area on the 22nd, with 1.3 hours of sunshine. The high temperature was 69F/21C with a low of 62F/17C. A low pressure system slowly passed directly over the area Monday the 23rd beginning in the afternoon and continuing well after midnight. Mostly steady rain brought 1.08" of precipitation with 0.3 hours of sunshine. The high was 69F/21C and the low was 60F/16C. Tuesday the 24th began with windy conditions and occasional showers that brought 0.04" of precipitation. High pressure building overnight began to settle conditions. The high for the day was 68F/20C with a low of 61F/16C and 1.6 hours of sunshine. Wednesday the 25th and Thursday the 26th saw high pressure maintain a ridge over the area that produced 8.7 hours of sunshine on Wednesday and 9.9 hours on Thursday with no rainfall either day. Both Wednesday and Thursday saw a high of 67F/19C and a low of 57F/14C. Some convergent moisture ahead of an approaching cold front brought 0.04" of precipitation on the 27th. The high reached 73F/23C with a low of 66F/19C and 7.5 hours of sunshine. The front pushed through during the evening of the 28th, but only 0.07" of rainfall was recorded. Max sustained winds reached 31 knots at the airfield during the afternoon. The high was 73F/23C with a low of 65F/18C and 2.9 hours of sunshine.
