Notes:
1. Mean daily temperature and pressure are averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations and not as the average of the maximum and minimum values.
2. Precipitation day has = or >0.01". Trace amounts (< 0.01") are not included in data.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Notes:
1. Mean humidity is averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations.
2. Weather Notes indicate a specific condition was observed at least once that day.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Key:
PN = Precipitation, PC = Partly Cloudy, MC = Mostly Cloudy, OV = Overcast, DZ = Drizzle, SH = Showers, BS = Blowing Spray GR = Hail, FC = Funnel Cloud, HZ = Haze, RA = Rain, BR = Mist, TS = Thunder Storm/Shower
Also see the BWS Glossary (http://www.weather.bm/glossary/Glossary.asp) for other abbreviations.

Cool start, then turning rather unsettled but warmer.

Low pressure to the distant north maintained breezy and mostly dry weather early on the 1st before high pressure began to nudge in from the southwest with easing winds. Weak low-level convergence aided a few showers moving through the area overnight which only amounted to trace amounts of rainfall being recorded. Temperatures remained cooler than average with a high of 19.7C/67.5F under 10.4 hours of sunshine while the low dipped to 17.6C/63.7F overnight. The 2nd saw bright daytime skies as high pressure settled in to our south. 12.3 hours of sunshine were recorded with no rainfall, light to near calm winds, and slightly below average temperatures. The 3rd saw the continuation of bright and dry conditions with partly cloudy skies as a trough made its exit. 9.8 hours of sunshine were recorded along with no rainfall, and an above average high 23.9C/75F and a near average low 18.8C/65.8F. With strong subsidence in the area the 4th and the 5th each saw over 11hrs of sunshine with a high reaching a couple of degrees above the average at 24.4C/75.9F and 24.3C/75.7F respectively. Dominant high pressure continued on the 6th while our wind became southerly which drove up our humidity. Our daily high was 24.9C/76.8F while we recorded 11.4 hours of sunshine. Low pressure troughing aided by a very moist and humid airmass gave the airport 1.16" of rainfall in a relatively short period of time on Saturday the 7th. We incurred a peak wind of 27 knots with the showers and thunderstorms that moved though while other sensors around the island recorded gusts well in to the gale force range. Low pressure to the northwest sent another trough and band of convergence through the island during the afternoon on the 8th with showers and nearby thunderstorms. Only 0.09" of rainfall was recorded as majority of the precipitation fell offshore as winds peaked at 25 knots during the afternoon and later gave way to a mostly settled but cloudy night. The low kept sporadic showery and thundery weather around on the 9th with precipitation once again mostly offshore as 8.9 hours of sunshine and 0.06" of rainfall were recorded. The high reached 25.0C/77.0F while the low dropped to 20.8C/69.4F which remained slightly warmer than climatological averages. On the 10th, early cloud cover and showers, associated with a nearby trough, passed over the Island and delivered 0.01'' of rainfall. 7.3 hours of sunshine was recorded along with above average temperatures and moderate southerly wind. The 11th saw rather cloudy skies before a broad band of convergence slowly entered the area with showers, heavy rain, and thunderstorms. 0.97'' of rainfall was recorded with 2.9 hours of sunshine while the high rose to 24.5C/76.1F, and the low fell towards 18.6C/65.5F. Inclement weather continued on the 12th adding 0.31" to the monthly rainfall total. While most of the day was cloudy, a late afternoon clearing gave 1.9 hrs of sunshine. The warm and humid SE flow continued into the 13th with a misty start. As high pressure nudged in, showers disintegrated and were pushed farther west and clouds thinned to give 6hrs of sunshine. The 14th was fine and dry with high pressure in charge. Despite cloudy skies, a light to moderate southerly breeze brought temperatures up to near 25C/77F. The 15th remained mostly dry under continued high pressure. The cloud cover broke up to allow 6.6hrs of sunshine.and a maximum temperatures near 25C/77F. Monday the 16th was another warm and humid day with a few showers around, though the airport only received 0.02". We saw a peak wind of 25 knots near showers, though wind was generally under 20 knots for most of the day.
