Written Summary   Table One   Table Two   Graphs
Notes:
1. Mean daily temperature and pressure are averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations and not as the average of the maximum and minimum values.
2. Precipitation day has = or >0.01". Trace amounts (< 0.01") are not included in data.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Notes:
1. Mean humidity is averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations.
2. Weather Notes indicate a specific condition was observed at least once that day.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Key:
PN = Precipitation, PC = Partly Cloudy, MC = Mostly Cloudy, OV = Overcast, DZ = Drizzle, SH = Showers, BS = Blowing Spray GR = Hail, FC = Funnel Cloud, HZ = Haze, RA = Rain, BR = Mist, TS = Thunder Storm/Shower

The first saw high pressure to the northeast, with an isolated shower producing 0.02" of rainfall and 7.6 hours of sunshine. The high was 73F/23C with a low of 66F/19C. The 2nd and 3rd continued to be influenced by high pressure to the northeast. Tuesday the 2nd saw 8.3 hours of sunshine with no rain. The high was 77F/25C with a low of 67F/20C. Wednesday the 3rd saw 6.2 hours of sun with a trace of rain. The high was 77F/25C with a low of 68F/20C. Fair conditions continued on the 4th with only a trace of rain and 8.6 hours of sunshine. The high was 76F/24C with a low was 66F/19C. Warm temperatures continued on the 5th with a high of 77F/25C and a low of 68F/20C. A couple of passing showers brought 0.02" with 5.4 hours of sunshine. The 6th brought moderate to strong east-northeasterly winds as a low to the southeast interacted with a strong ridge to the north. The high reached 75F/24C with a low of 68F/20C. 9.1 hours of sunshine were recorded with just a trace of rain. Light to moderate northerly winds maintained fine conditions on the 7th as the low pressure area moved north well to the east. 7.8 hours of sunshine and a warm airmass helped temperatures reach 77F/25C. This tied the daily record of 1993. The low was 68F/20C, with 0.01" of rain in a shower.
The 8th saw showers and thunder close to the area, but only a trace of precipitation. The high was 74F/23C with a low of 66F/19C and 6.5 hours of sunshine. The 9th had a brief early shower providing a trace, with 6.7 hours of sunshine. The high was 75F/24C with a low of 66F/19C. Showers arrived soon after dawn on Wednesday the 10th in concert with a pre-frontal trough. Thunderstorms followed as an active cold front slowly moved into the area from the west. The front passed in the late afternoon, leaving 0.98" of precipitation behind. Winds strengthened early in the day, approaching gale force at times with frequent gale force gusts. The highest gust recorded was 41 knots. The high for the day was 75F/24C and the low was 64F/18C, with just 0.8 hours of sunshine. High pressure returned briefly on the 11th, settling conditions for a time, with a high of 73F/23C, a low of 65F/18C and 7.2 hours of sunshine.
After a cloudy day with no sun, a cold front moved into the area during the evening of the 12th, producing a few showers and 0.14" of rain. The high was 72F/22C with a low of 63F/17C. Drier air moved in behind the front on the 13th with 7.7 hours of sunshine and just 0.01" of precipitation. The high was 72F/22C with a low of 61F/16C. On the 14th low pressure to the northeast sent a couple of troughs through the area on strong northwest winds, with 0.23" of rain in a few showers. The high reached 70F/21C with a rain-cooled low of 58F/15C and 5.8 hours of sunshine. The 15th then saw the low slowly pull away as weak high pressure built toward the area from the west. After strong northwest winds and gale-force gusts in early-morning showers (0.08" of rainfall), the high rose to 69F/21C with a low of 62F/17C under 4.4 hours of sunshine. High pressure across the area brought 4.5 hours of sunshine on the 16th. The high was 72F/22C with a low of 63F/17C. Frontal passage on the 17th saw a couple brief showers, with 0.05" of rainfall. The high was 73F/23C with a low of 63F/17C and 6.3 hours of sunshine. Thursday the 18th remained settled and breezy with a high of 73F/23C and a low of 65F/18C with 4.5 hours of sunshine.
