Written Summary   Table One   Table Two   Graphs
Notes:
1. Mean daily temperature and pressure are averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations and not as the average of the maximum and minimum values.
2. Precipitation day has = or >0.01". Trace amounts (< 0.01") are not included in data.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Notes:
1. Mean humidity is averaged from the standard 24 hourly observations.
2. Weather Notes indicate a specific condition was observed at least once that day.
3. Departures from the normal are based on the 1971 to 2000 normals where available (with the exception of the Sea Surface Temperature, which is based on the 1985 to 2000 normal).
Key:
PN = Precipitation, PC = Partly Cloudy, MC = Mostly Cloudy, OV = Overcast, DZ = Drizzle, SH = Showers, BS = Blowing Spray GR = Hail, FC = Funnel Cloud, HZ = Haze, RA = Rain, BR = Mist, TS = Thunder Storm/Shower

February began as a rather typical winter day with only 3.1 hours of sunshine and a trace of rainfall under weakening high pressure to the northeast. The high was 68F/20C and the low was 57F/14C. An approaching cold front on the 2nd brought mostly cloudy skies and 0.07" of rainfall. Southerly winds nudged the daytime high to 71F/22C while the low was 63F/17C. An early morning cold front sent 0.09" of rainfall and mostly cloudy skies on the 3rd. Moderate north-northeast winds were observed with a peak gust of 30 knots. The maximum temperature was 67F/19C and the low dipped to 59F/15C. Sunday the 4th was mainly fair but cloudy, though a few light showers produced 0.02" of rain while allowing only 2.8 hours of sunshine. The high was 68F/20C and the low was 60F/16C. Monday the 5th started mainly fine with 7.0 hours of sunshine followed by evening showers which produced 0.10" of rain. The high was 73F/23C and the low was 66F/19C. Tuesday the 6th was a mostly sunny day with moderate northeasterly winds. The high for the day was 70F/21C, the low was 64F/18C, and we saw 8.2 hours of sunshine. Wednesday the 7th was a partly cloudy day with only a trace of precipitation recorded. The high for the day was 70F/21C, the low was 63F/17C, and we saw 4.4 hours of sunshine. On February 8th a few early morning showers produced 0.02" in rainfall. Hazy sunshine followed as high clouds spread across the sky resulting in 6.2 hours of sunshine. The high was 73F/23C and the low was 68F/20C. Friday the 9th was cloudy with showers and drizzle. A cold front swept though producing 0.93" of rainfall while allowing 3.0 hours on sunshine. The high was 71F/22C and the low was 64F/18C. 9.5 hours of sunshine was observed on the 10th as a drier air-mass evolved under building high pressure. The maximum temperature climbed to 72F/22C after a morning low of 66F/19C. The 11th was mostly sunny with light to moderate southeast winds under strong high pressure of 1034 millibars. The maximum temperature was 72F/22C and the low 68F/20C. A strong ridge of high pressure provided fine weather for Monday the 12th. There was 9.8 hours of sunshine and no rainfall. The high was 73F/23C and the low was 68F/20C. With a ridge to our southeast a new cold front began to approach to our northwest on Tuesday the 13th. A couple brief, light showers produced 0.04" of rain but there was still 9.5 hours of sunshine with a high of 73F/23C and a low of 65F/18C. February 14th was a day of rain and drizzle. No sunshine was recorded and 1.29" of precipitation fell. The high was 68F/20C and the low was 63F/17C. Early morning drizzle yielded 0.02" of precipitation on February 15th. A fine day followed with 8.9 hours of sunshine. The high was 72F/22C and the low was 65F/19C. Another fine day on the 16th as we recorded 6.5 hours of sunshine after some morning cloudiness. Winds increased from the southwest and peaked at 24 knots, while we saw a high of 73F/23C after a morning low of 66F/19C. The 17th saw fair skies and moderate southwesterly winds ahead of a weak cold front that passed in the afternoon with only a trace of rainfall. The high temperature climbed to 74F/23C while the low was 68F/20C. The latest Sea Surface temperature reading is 68F/20C. Warm temperatures for February continued on the 18th as we topped out at 74F/23C (1 degree off the daily record). The low was 66F/19C which was due to a brief shower with a weak cold frontal passage in the evening that produced a trace of rainfall. The 19th began cloudy with a trace of rainfall, but then skies cleared as high pressure moved in. Northeasterly winds were observed and the high was 68F/20C with a low of 63F/17C. High pressure to our northeast on Monday the 20th provided mainly fine weather. There was 10 hours of sunshine, though a light shower produced a trace of rainfall. The high was 71F/22C and the low was 62F/17C. High pressure provided another fine day for Wednesday the 21st. There was 10.2 hours of sunshine, though a light, isolated shower produced a trace of rainfall. The high was 71F/22C and the low was 61F/16C. High pressure provided another day of fair weather on Thursday the 22nd, though with a little more cloud cover. There was no rain and 5.0 hours of sunshine with a high of 70F/21C and a low of 61F/16C. Friday the 23rd was a mostly cloudy day with light passing showers in the area which produced 0.02" of rain at the airport. The high for the day was 73F/23C, the low was 67F/19C, and saw only 3.4 hours of sunshine.
