April began with a frontal boundary pushing across the area late in the evening, with a few showers and a brief thunderstorm; 0.26" of rainfall. The high was 73F/23C the low 61F/16C with 8.2 hours of sunshine. Dominant high pressure showed up on the 2nd with 10.9 hours of sunshine and no precipitation. The high was 64F/13C and the low was 56F/13C. Fair weather continued on the 3rd with another mostly sunny day amounting to 11.1 hours of sunshine. The high temperature reached 68F/20C with a low of 56F/12C and no precipitation. High pressure ridging held dry weather in place on the 4th with a high of 73F/23C, a low of 65F/19C and 8.1 sun hours. A front passed by mid-morning on Sunday the 5th and stalled near to the south, with strong northerly- then northeasterly-veering winds and development of light rain which became more showery in nature in the afternoon. No sunshine was recorded with 0.40" of rain, a pre-frontal high of 69F/20C and a mid-afternoon low of 59F/15C. Monday the 6th had breezy conditions as a center of high pressure pass by to the north. The high for the day was 68F/20C with a low of 64F/18C and 1.7 hours of sunshine. A strong ridge of high pressure to the north maintained settled conditions with a high of 73F/23C, a low of 66F/19C and 10.3 hours of sunshine. Ridge of high pressure continued to dominate across the area for Wednesday the 8th and Thursday the 9th. Mainly fine conditions prevailed with 11 hours of sunshine for Wednesday and 10 hours for Thursday and a trace of rainfall on Wednesday. The high on Wednesday was 73F/23C with a low of 66F/19C. Thursday saw a high of 75F/24C with a low of 68F/20C. High pressure dominated the 10th, with 10.7 hours of sunshine. The high was 73F/23C with a low of 66F/19C. High pressure again dominated the 11th, with 10.1 hours of sunshine; a brief overnight rainshower ahead of a front produced 0.02" of precipitation. The high was 77F/25C with a low of 67F/19C. The front pushed through Bermuda around midday on the 12th with a scant 0.08" of precipitation. Dense cloud cover only parted for 0.6 hours of sunshine with a high of 74F/23C and a low of 65F/18C. With building high pressure over the area on the 13th, no precipitation was recorded. An upper-level cloud layer broke for only 2.0 hours of sunshine through the day. The high was 71F/21C with a low of 64F/18C. High pressure held on the 14th with an early trace of rain on moderate east winds. The high reached 73F/23C with a low of 64F/18C and 10.2 hours of sun. As the surface high moved further east on the 15th, a fair-weather ridge held over the area with another above-normal high of 74F/24C and a low of 67F/20C on moderate southerly flow. There were 6.7 hours of sunshine. Thursday the 16th saw a weak cold front that move across the area during the morning hours which brought 0.27 of rainfall and strong winds that produced a peak wind of 32 knots. High pressure built back over the area during the afternoon producing mainly fair skies with 7.1 hours of sunshine. The high was 71F/21C with a low of 64F/18C. High pressure held over the area on Friday the 17th which brought mainly fair conditions with 7.7 hours of sunshine and no rainfall. The high was 70F/21C with a low of 63F/17C.
