Hurricane Awareness Month (HAM) takes place during March, and is run by the Bermuda Weather Service
(BAS-Serco) on behalf of the Government of Bermuda.
The aim of HAM is to educate the public
and decision-makers, so they can prepare for the threats imposed by hurricanes and tropical
storms. Preparedness reduces the risk posed by the impacts of these significant weather events.
Hurricane Season in the Atlantic runs from June 1 to November 30 (a full six months) every
year - will you be ready?
