More settled conditions are now developing, thanks to a ridge of high pressure building in from the west. Conditions then deteriorate very quickly on Wednesday as a rapidly deepening low pressure centre moves east off the US coast. Rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely. It will also become very windy with gales and gusts to storm force.
